Attending the 16th China International Geo-electromagnetism Workshop

From August 17th to 20th, 2023, the 16th China International Geo-electromagnetism Workshop (CIGEW2023) was held at Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen. Over 750 experts, scholars and students from 118 domestic and foreign universities, research institutions and enterprises attended the event, covering seven generations from the 1930s to the 2000s. The conference mainly focused on extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions on the progress of new theories, technologies and methods in Earth electromagnetics, the research and application of electromagnetic exploration in disaster fields such as resources and environment, engineering and earthquakes, deep earth, deep space and deep sea, as well as the development and industrialization of advanced technical equipment.

Our company has set up a booth for this meeting. It also showcased the MTU-5C ultra-wideband MT(UMT)system, V8 system, MTU-5A ultra-wideband MT(UMT)system, FW 3DIP sysyem, TIP12000 transmitter,SYSCAL TERRA Electrical Resistivity Imaging System, and the new IP receiver ElREC TERRA, GSM-19T magnetometer, Overhauser high-precision magnetometer and Hovermap ST-X 3D lidar system.

We specially invited Dr. Catherine Truffert, the president of IRIS Instruments & the chairperson of the SEG Near-Surface Chapter, and Yann, the vice president of PHOENIX , to attend the meeting and give special reports, which received great attention from the majority of participants.
