System Overview
The 3T series comprises triaxial, broadband, weak‑motion seismometers that deliver high‑quality long‑period monitoring. Depending on the performance level required and the installation environment, the following models are available:
◇ 3T‑360 – An observatory‑class instrument intended for long‑term deployment in very quiet sites, specifically designed for long‑period seismic signal research. An optional atmospheric‑pressure isolator ensures that the sensor remains unaffected by minor fluctuations in temperature and pressure.
◇ 3T‑120 – For surface and underground use, with an optional polar housing that enables operation and cold‑start testing at –55 °C.
◇ 3T‑120 PH – Shallow‑borehole version, suitable for permanent immersion in wet environments.
◇ Güralp also produces a triaxial 3T borehole sensor, which can be used standalone or in combination with an accelerometer. Contact us for the Güralp 3TB deep‑borehole data sheet.
The 3T series can be paired with either the Affinity or Minimus digital digitisers. Both offer flexible features and functionality, allowing you to choose according to your specific requirements.
The 3T series provides two standard frequency‑response options: 120 s and 360 s.
Dynamic range at 1 Hz: 167 dB
Self‑noise below NLNM over 166 s – 10 Hz for the 3T‑120
Self‑noise below NLNM over 200 s – 10 Hz for the 3T‑360
Sensitivity: 1500 V·m⁻¹·s⁻¹ (2 × 750 V·m⁻¹·s⁻¹)
Cross‑axis rejection: 65 dB
Remote/automatic mass locking, unlocking, and mass centring
