Hengda Century participated in the 1st Session of China Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation Technology Conference

On November 8, 2023, the 1st Session of China Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation Technology and Beidou Application Expo opened at the Deqing International Exhibition Center in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. This expo is jointly organized by the Chinese Society of Surveying and Mapping, the China Association for Geographical Information Industry, the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association, and the Management Committee of Huzhou Moganshan High-tech Industrial Development Zone. The exhibition area of the China Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation Technology Conference is 20,000 square meters, with over 200 participating organizations.

The technical team of our company participated in the exhibition with the latest Hovermap ST-X 3D laser scanner from EMESENT. Participants from numerous industries and fields such as natural resources, urban construction, power, telecommunications, petroleum, coal, transportation, water conservancy, environmental protection, and forestry showed great interest in the EMESENT 3D laser scanning system.

The Hovermap ST-X 3D laser scanning system is based on the optimized SLAM algorithm and is applied to the acquisition of 3D spatial data in complex areas. It has irreplaceable advantages such as security, efficiency and simplicity. Compared with existing measurement technologies and traditional laser scanning technologies, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) take less time to collect data and minimize the chance of personnel being exposed to dangerous areas, which can greatly enhance operational safety and production efficiency.

The scanning range of lidar can reach up to 300 meters, enabling it to fly higher and faster, collecting over one million points per second. It can collect detailed and precise data over a large area in a shorter time - obtaining insight analysis results more quickly. Fewer flights are required for the scanning area, saving time for setting up, packaging and transferring, as well as splicing the scanning data.

Hovermap has multiple functions and is competent for collecting data in any environment. It can be installed on a drone for autonomous flight scanning, and the task can be completed even in an environment without GPS. It can be easily removed from the drone and used as a handheld, backpack or vehicle-mounted scanner. By combining these functions, data on existing facilities and digital twins can be collected within minutes, saving several hours compared to previous operations.
