EMESENT authorized Hengda Century as the agent in China

In 2023, Hengda Century (Beijing) Geophysical Technology Co., Ltd. build up a cooperative relationship with the Emesent Pty Ltd, and was authorized as the agent for the 3D lidar system produced by Emesent in China.

Emesent is a technology company whose flagship product is the award-winning Hovermap, which is used for LiDAR mapping and autonomous payloads of industrial drones. Hovermap enables drones to fly and map to environments that GPS rejects, such as underground mines. Through Hovermap and other solutions, provide revolutionary efficiency, safety and operational insights for underground mines and other GPS-denied environments.

Emesent's LiDAR payload utilizes a process known as Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM), in which the drone builds a map and simultaneously locates the drone within that map. Although this technology has been successful in rapid mapping of complex environments, it cannot be used to achieve measurement-level accuracy in all types of tasks. Therefore, surveyors often struggle between choosing rapid data acquisition and data accuracy. The new Hovermap ST and its automatic ground control function have changed this. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) LiDAR payload enhances the SLAM solution to eliminate the so-called "SLAM drift" and generate highly accurate geographic reference point clouds.
