Exploration Technology Laboratory of Chengdu Geological Survey Center invited German experts

On January 11, 2013, at the conference room of the 2nd floor of the Chengdu Geological Survey Center Building, introduced by Liu Guoqing, general manager of Hengda Century (Beijing) Geophysics Technology Co., Ltd., Chengdu Geological Survey Center invited Dr. Johannes B. Stoll from Germany MGT Company to introduce the low altitude UAV geophysical equipment. The participants mainly were Wu Lin, Deputy Director and all geophysical prospecting personnel in the survey room. The meeting was chaired by Wang Yonghua, Deputy Director of the Survey Technology Room.

The Deputy Director of Wu Lin made an important speech at the opening ceremony, and stated that: 1. (UAV exploration) is in line with the current situation and the needs of the international and domestic geological survey; 2. UAV low altitude exploration is suitable for the landform in the southwest of China; 3. Intensifying exchanges can broaden the work ideas of the geophysical teams.

The General Manager of Liu Guoqing first introduced the main agent products of the instruments, equipments and softwares of Hengda Century. Dr Johannes B.Stoll introduced the background of the MGT company and the status of research and development of UAV equipment, the types, technical parameters, and environment of UAV and products carrying geophysical equipment, and introduced the relevant successful cases of the UAV geophysical exploration projects. Finally, Dr. Johannes B. Stoll also conducted extensive and in-depth exchanges and discussions with geophysical technicians on the key concept and applications of UAV systems for exploration of VLF scanning.

After the meeting, Dr. Johannes B. Stoll demonstrated several videos of construction process of UAV geophysical projects.
