3-D electroexcited exploration of polymetallic deposits in X city of Hubei Province

 The exploration area is located in City X, Hubei Province. The terrain in this area is flat, but there are villages and rivers. The exploration depth is approximately 500 meters and the exploration area covers an area of 1 square kilometer.

This design not only meets the requirements of detection depth, but also can cover the entire area at a time. To obtain more geological information, the transmitting electrode was moved a total of 200 times, saving time and budget for field exploration.

The exploration area is relatively large. To obtain better data quality, the transmission current is basically set at 15 A, and the single transmission time is 5 minutes.

High-polarization anomalies can infer the location and extension direction of the ore body

The distance between the two boreholes is approximately 50 meters, the depth of the boreholes is about 200 meters, and the depth of the ore body is approximately 100 meters. It can be seen from the excitation inversion results that this position is a highly polarized anomaly, which is consistent with the height of the borehole where the ore was discovered.

 

By superimposing the drilling information onto the inversion results and making comparisons, it can be concluded that the abnormal location is consistent with the location of the ore body delineated by the drilling.

In order to identify the distribution of excitation anomalies at different depths, horizontal slices of the inversion results were obtained at depths of 100 meters, 200 meters and 300 meters. It can be seen that with the increase of depth, the deep anomaly in the south gradually disappears, while the anomaly in the northeast direction shows an expanding trend. The shallow area in the south and the deep area in the north of the exploration area are the key areas for further exploration.
